Only the ASTM driver is required. The proprietary protocol is a legacy Sysmex protocol rarely used these days.
However within the ASTM ( TCP/IP) Sysmex offers two options 1381-02 ( with Enq and Ack) and 1381-95 . We need the 1381-95 option, for high throughput systems to optimise the data transfer and reduce delays. The serial interface does not allow for 1381-95
Yes we will need a driver for SP50. According to some colleagues it won't
be too different from SP10 so it's possible to just extend that existing
driver.
We also need a driver for the new DI-60 Cellavision replacement *XR-3000 DI*.
We requested a HIM but still waiting for Sysmex to provide one.
To summarize:
XR-1000/2000 analyzers will be introduced replacing XN-10/20 (SYSMEX v3.x)
SP-50 is an existing slide maker (not supported by the SP10v3 driver)
XR-1500 is the new Slide maker replacing SP-10/SP-50 (SP10v3)
XR-3000 DI will be introduced replacing DI-60 (CELLADMV3)
We have another question. The manual for Sysmex XR v1.3 describes a proprietary protocol only, while the manual Sysmex XR v1.5 describes a proprietary protocol and ASTM. Do you need both protocols supported? If so, we need to plan 2 drivers to support XR series.
Thanks for reaching out. I see that, on top of the Sysmex XR series manual, there's also the manual for SP50. Do you need to support the SP50 too? In case of being affirmative, we'll plan 2 drivers: one for the XR and one for the SP50.
Also, this request will be developed for infinity only. Currently, we're not developing new drivers for cobas IT 3000 for being in phase out.
Thanks to both of you for the confirmation. We'll develop the Sysmex XR AST driver with ASTM E1381-95 mode, and a new driver for SP 50.
Regards,
Paola
Hi Paola,
ASTM please. We wont need to support the proprietary protocol.
Thanks
Antonio

Hello Antonio,
Thanks for the confirmation. We'll plan two drivers then. Can you please confirm if the Sysmex XR driver is needed in ASTM or proprietary?
Please, keep in mind that the best way to go is to have one idea created per each driver need, as stated here.
Thanks,
Paola
